About

The Penn Pre-Medical Association was founded in 2009 by combining the John Morgan Pre-Health Society (JMPHS) and Penn’s chapter of the American Medical Student Association (AMSA) —two former student-run, pre-professional groups at Penn. We are an organization that strives to meet the needs of the pre-med students at Penn. From speaker events to physician shadowing programs, we hold various events throughout the academic year to provide opportunities for our members to experience the field of health care.

    Hello

I am reaching out about an online resource that could be beneficial for your members. The website, called the Medical School Directory, is an interactive map of all the accredited medical
schools in the United States (Both MD and DO), as well as information regarding tuition, median GPA/MCAT, and dual degrees programs that are offered. As a pre-med currently taking a gap year, I personally struggled with gathering a comprehensive list of schools to apply to, and therefore wanted to create a platform that could make this process easier for all the aspiring medical students who are applying.

Please reach out if you have any questions regarding the site, and I hope that you can share this with the members of your organization.

    Best regards,
    Randall
